Prices

Every price on this site is in Australian dollars and includes GST. The price you see is the price you pay for that item — there is no tax added at checkout, no card surcharge, and no handling fee. Shipping, where it applies, is stated separately and before you reach the cart.

Where we show a saving on a kit or a bundle, it is calculated against the true sum of the individual prices of those items on this site. We do not use inflated “was” prices or recommended retail comparisons.

Prices can change. The price that applies to your order is the one shown when you place it.

Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we dispatch the goods or deliver the digital product. If we cannot fulfil something — it is out of stock, or a price was obviously wrong — we will tell you and refund you in full. We will not quietly substitute something else.

Digital products

Itineraries are licensed to you for your own personal use. You are welcome to print one, share it with the people you are travelling with, and use it however is useful on your trip.

You may not republish it, resell it, or feed it into a product that redistributes it. Every paid guide includes free updates for twelve months from purchase.

Affiliate links

Some products we recommend cannot be sourced by us at wholesale, so we link to someone who sells them and may earn a commission. Those links are labelled wherever they appear. See our affiliate disclosure.

Content on this site

The itineraries, photographs and writing are ours. You are welcome to quote a paragraph with a link back. You are not welcome to republish them wholesale, and that includes scraping them to train or populate another product.

We write our itineraries from places we have actually been, and we date every one of them. Things change — restaurants close, prices move, transport reschedules. We update guides and publish the date we did. Check anything time-critical before you rely on it.

Your consumer rights

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Nothing in these terms limits, excludes or modifies any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where anything here conflicts with those rights, those rights win. See returns.

Liability

To the extent the law allows — and no further — our liability for anything other than the consumer guarantees is limited to the amount you paid us for the product in question.

Our itineraries are travel writing, not professional advice. We are not a travel agent, we do not sell insurance, and we do not give financial or medical advice. Check visa requirements, government travel advice at smartraveller.gov.au, and your own insurance policy for yourself.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts there have jurisdiction.
